Too easy to see

Première in Tokyo in 2018. Show curated by Responding to Ko Murobushi Festival (Tokyo Arts Council).

Too easy to see” is an homage to the Japanese butoh master, Ko Murobushi (1947-2015), created in the frame of the Festival “Responding to Ko” (Tokyo, 2018).

In this piece, the body of the dancer is used to represent one question that was interesting for Murobushi, the desire, through its different steps, as explained in Lacan’s psychoanalysis, since the fetal auto-pleasure until the recognition of the self in the so called “step of the mirror”.
